Ok, so anyone who remembers Adeptus Titanicus will remember that the titan bases had a rotating wheel with which to track damage:

So I decided to add this idea to my skimmers in order to track hull points, prototype is below:

Currently this will only track HP's, (3, 2, 1) but I was wondering if it was worth adding a second wheel to track Stunned / Shaken results?
Most of my weapons are magnetised so tracking weapon destroyed results isn't a problem, and I usually just remove the flying stand when immobilised (although now that will mean losing track of HP's - if I add immobilised then I'll need combinations of immobile & shaken / stunned).
Also, the prototype has a "window" to show the number, but should I just have the info displayed on the outside of the wheel? What are people's thoughts?

Kind of neet, but you may end up with issues of moving the model to turn the wheel, then suddenly your outside of your opponents shooting range even though the guy measured and moved with the intent of a second unit shooting you.
Most flying bases/models are large enough to accomodate a dice or token to track HPs much like tracking wounds on multi-wound models.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

what?

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

That looks pretty cool.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need

what?

I think I understood the meaning :-)
The intent will be to turn the rotor without picking up the model or otherwise moving it. Will have to have a few games to see how practical that is in reality!
I dislike using dice (so easy to pick up in confusion), and I currently use coloured beads to track HP's at the moment, just trying out the idea so I don't have to pick up beads when moving the tanks.

What are people's thoughts on a second (stunned / shaken) wheel?

I like the idea but I would probably go with pre-made myself. Litko makes something like this (not big enough to replace a flier or skimmer base as they are only 25mm but could probably be adapted).

I think the ideia is good, if you like, go for it.

Still, i think it could would be better to have some smal "slots" on the base, where you could fix tokens. Maybe even "rised up" tokens. (3 spaces, one for HP, one for shake/stunned, one for immobilized)

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...
My take on Demiurgs (enjoy the reading):
