I'm still having issues with the new washes leaving big white marks. Yesterday I shook my athonian camoshade for a good minute + and there were still white circles. Advice?

pics? i've never seen this.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

I got some free pots of the new inks as a present, and found multiple uses for them, but never had any problems. If any, the opposite is the case, these washes are first class. Maybe you bought fake washes from a market stall?

Unfortunately I don't have any pics I can post - I already painted over it... I know that there was a thread that had pics... Basically, wherever the wash has pooled, it leaves a big white spot, like pure concentrated gloss coat or something in a big blob. =( I try to not let the wash pool so much in certain areas, but sometimes it leaves the mark anyways. They are legit, I got them from GW on release day... I do love them.

the only time I ve seen streaks or white residue, is if I mixed water with them or dipped my brush in water previously to thin the washes down (esp with the older shades) or if you touch it before it can dry

i've always had the same issue with the old washes, so haven't jumped on the new ones...
it's really hit and miss as to when i get the white marks...
i've tried a lot of different approaches, and still have to repaint the deepest parts most of the time...
really frustrating...

i've taken to mixing P3 washes and inks with paint to knock back some of the gloss, and using that for my washes...
i still love my GW paints and inks from the 90's (white flip-top lids), but since P3 came around i've gone off Citadel paints completely...

my arsenal consists of P3 paints, inks, and washes, and some Vallejo Air Metals...
primer is Vallejo Air Grey brush on primer, to beat the tropical humidity (no more spray disasters)...
brushes are Raphael, Rosemary & Co., and DaVinci...
bases are from Dragonforge...
superglue is Kola Loka (a Mexican brand that works wonders for $1.25)...

no more GW hobby supplies for me...
too unpredictable these days...

best of luck...

cheers

I've seen a couple of threads come through since the release that have had the same issue.
No one has responded with a solution though.
