So I was down at my FLGS talking away to people, as you do, and a guy ask's about my commission painting, simply because I'm dirt cheap (£1.50 p/h) As I mainly paint as a hobby, but it means I can't take on a huge amount of projects, but anyway, back to the story, he asked me if I could paint up his Last Chancers for him as he is recently getting back into the hobby, selling off all his old models to buy new ones, but decided that he would like to keep these and get them painted, so he offered me a 2003 Games Day Wolf Priest to paint them and I thought, heck why not, it's un-opened etc, and I would love to paint the last chancers.

So I spent 2 hours finishing this one tonight (I haven't read the book so sorry for not knowing names )

In fairness I'm happy enough with it, I tried my best to stick to GW's colours where applicable, so yeah, Need to highlight the skin tones once more, but some of my paints are in my studio >.< Derp.

Anyway, C&C Appreciated

The miniature is called 'Hero', always liked that model and you've done a good job on him, i especially like the dark red sash and cap, contrasts well with his great coat. The skin looks pretty good too and is that a hint of a buzz cut haircut under his cap in the second pic? Just needs to be based and he's ready to go

Thank you, I was a little bit worried that the red highlights werent strong enough, but seen in person they blend quite well.
It is indeed a buzzcut I saw a tutorial for doing this quite a while back, it was more or less a codex grey glaze, seems to work fine for me, especially on space marines.
And agreed, need to find my grit, only got sand at home here, needa pop into my LFGS

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Second model finished (Again, need some basing materials)

Not as pleased with this one as the other, but hey, as a lot they'll look dandy (:
