So after a great deal of hemming and hawing and thinking it over, I've finally decided to put down the cash for an airbrush setup, because basecoating vehicles and lots of minis by hand sucks.

Before putting my card down and buying these new shiny toys, I figured I'd ask for a quick once-over on the potential purchases, primarily to ensure I didn't forget anything important, or picked the incorrect item, etc. Makes life much easier.

Airbrush: Badger Air-Brush Co 105 Patriot Fine Gravity Airbrush
Compressor: Badger Air-Brush Co. Air Star V T909 Compressor
Hose: Badger Air-Brush 10-Feet Company Braided Air Hose

and some pipettes for good measure.

I've got plenty of pipe cleaners lying around (Mrs. Hamster is a crafty one), so I decided not to grab some of those.

Is there anything I'm missing? Something I should take a second look at?

Some sort of cleaner, and some airbrush lubricant.

Airbrush paints or suitable thinner/medium for and existing paint collection.

Maybe a airbrush cleaning pot for shooting cleaner into when rinsing out. - not essential but sure is handy.

Also not essential but an inline moisture trap is handy; even thought he compressor has one, as the motor runs longer it gets hot and condenses moisture from the air it is compressing. Keeping ontop of draining the tank and the moisture trap is enough but personally I still use a 2nd inline trap, I find it really helps a lot for fine detail freehand airbrushing, not much of an issue for painting models I guess.

dropper bottles to store premixed paint?
Life time supply of paper towels

Edit; also i noticed that hose wont fit. The compressor has a 1/8inch output. and the airbrush as a badger (only badger airbrushes use this one i think) input.
You 'can' get adapter to go from badger to 1/8inch so that a cheapy regular 1/8 to 1/8 hose will fit.
With what you have picked out your going to end up needing an adapter to go from the 1/8inch male output on the compressor and turn it into a 1/4inch male in order for the hoses 1/4inch female end to fit it.

Can't tell from the description if the compressor has a tank - it does right? You really want one.

I'll link you the 3 I picked up a couple months ago so you can compare price/performance to see if you're getting a good deal: (keeping in mind stuff generally costs more in aus than the US)
Airbrush, Compressor, and hose

I'm really happy with the air compressor. Quiet (for a compressor hehe), cheap, not a problem with it so far. Airbrush is adequate, I have yet to borrow my brothers Iwata to compare them.

Might want to look into an ultrasonic cleaner for your airbrush, to use every month or half dozen painting sessions. This popped up in my subscription feed a couple days ago and I now have an ultrasonic cleaner en route from Hong Kong hehe.

The above compressor is the one you want, get one with a tank it's so much better than you think. It is worth the extra price of tankless compressors.

Airbrush, go get WD-180 it's a Chinese copy if iwata infinity? I think or badger. Anyway its cheap.

Sounds good, you are off to a great start!

Check out some of the other airbrush sources here, or on youtube.
There are literally dozens of posts about them (and paint, etc.).

As far as paints go; yes, you can mix your own, but premixed "ready to use" airbrush paint is very awesome (most of them you can brush on as well).

I prefer vallejo model air, and "golden" brand airbrush colors personally.
