This is a list I've been working trying to make use of some of my chaos models that don't have a place on my competitive lists, which is mainly the Warpsmith and my 2 Defilers, so I made this list for friendly games, again I know this one might not win tournaments but still I'd like a chance to win some games with it, what do you guys think? Could it stand a chance?

HQ

Chaos Lord - MoN, Murder Sword, Sigil of Corruption, Blight Grenades, VotLW

Warpsmith - Aura of Dark Glory, combi-bolter, VotLW

Elites

8x Chosen - Champ with/ LCs, 1x Meltagun, 2x Power Axes, 2x Power Fists, VotLW
Rhino

Helbrute - Plasma Cannon, Power Scourge

Helbrute - Multimelta, Power Fist

Troops

10x CSM - Champ w/Power Sword, 2xPlasmaguns, VotLW
Rhino

10x CSM - Champ w/Power Sword, 2xPlasmaguns, VotLW
Rhino

Fast

Helldrake - Hades

Heavy

Defiler - Powerfist, Power Scourge, Dirge caster

Defiler - Havoc Launcher, Reaper Autocannon

Maulerfiend - Lasher Tendrils

Total: 2000 pts

The idea is to move everything fwd hopefully the HQs and chosen will get pass mid table before their rhino blows up while the walkers try to engage the enemy shooting units and have the warpsmith moving to wherever he is needed to repair the walkers

From what I've seen, you know what the hell you're talking about regarding CSM

I think Maulers are best when taken in pairs, and I would prefer them over the Defilers.. but at least you do have 3 Heavies to make the enemy pick their shots. I'm a fan of Lasher Tendrils but smart opponents will shoot him before one of the two Defilers because of that upgrade.. Inexperienced opponents might blast him simply because he stands out. That's why I'd run two, but that's just me..

Ahhh the Helldrake. I prefer the Baleflamer but I've thought about it very hard recently and I've decided that it comes down to personal preference after realizing that both options are in fact incredibly good for all-comers lists.

Big fan of the CSM units. Wish you had 3, but I totally see the theme here.

The Lord setup is good.

Definitely a nice fun list, with lots of threat spread out across the board. With a few lists turning mostly foot-sloggers with Plasma, you should have a lot of fun destroying people. I expect your CSMs to be untouched for the first few turns.

Looks interesting. Not sure on the murder sword after a few games as once your opponent knows what's comming they will simply avoid that unit or refuse a challenge then it's just an overpriced powersword.

The Axe of blind fury on the other hand has paid for itself every game I've used it. Use it on your warpsmith and he will be getting 7+d6 attacks which is just unholy (pun intended).

Good point. Isn't it worth controlling your enemy, though?

It might make Lysander or even Sicarius think twice about approaching your lines.. So in that respect you control them.

This is a shock list after all! : D

Looks very good, altough I much rather take the forgefiend with auto cannons for that massive amount of shots. But excpet that I am liking this list, a lot

I agree that the baleflamer is better for the heldrake, at least on the games i've played as soon as a troop gets into an objective place the template activate daemon engine and burn their whole squad, however for this list I'll be lacking anti-air and hopefully the walkers will be in CC with the enemy units making the flamer not as easy to positionate also with the hades it'll be able to down any flyer that might appear, with only 2 troops and walkers with not so many shoots I'll be lacking how to handle them, the cannon sounds like an option

The lord with axe of blinding fury might be a good choice as well, and would give me a reason to use my 2H weapon khorne lord

2 Troops isn't much but again this isn't a competitive list they are there only to give my opponent more targets and try to diminish the fire on the walkers the first turns
