I'm stumped as to why this thread exists, and I don't recall reading anything like that in the locked thread, but I stopped paying attention around page 12.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

Frazzled mentioned it several times. Cholas stab and Latinas stab. But thats my point some racist things are just glossed over.

Its what a chola would do."

This based on previous girlfiriends and their friends when in LA. Nothing says fun like watching cheekas take a shot at each other.

I've dated Mexican-American girls too. None of them were violent.

But this really isnt about one particular instance.

Maybe Its just me but I feel like someone saying Jews are bad at sports doesn't get the same criticism as someone that says Blacks are bad at reading. Why is that?

And ive realized racism is the wrong word.

Sterotypes. Why are some stereotypes ok and others not?

It's the PC world we live in, I guess.. I mean, on the same token, we can't point out chicken and watermelon, even though those two foods are universally loved.

Of course, stereotypes are there for a very good reason, I just wish that people didn't make such a huge deal out of them. If you acknowledge that its a stereotype, and its there for a reason, and move on, things would just run more smoothly.

Further clarification now that I'm back:
Cholas describes a particular group of gals, effectively cloistered in a region, not your average person. Its not gender specific in that the male version is also aggressive. They have to be, to survive. People are people shaped by then environment. Had I grown up in that I would have been the same. Its not a pretty situation, and its also why I will never ever voluntarily go back to California.

The ex however, well she was actually half Irish, half Kiowa, was raised by Mexican immigrants. The family was good people. She was just crazy.

How I went from crazy to a positive, cheerful ex Yankee from Chicago, well thats from God's grace. She just needed a human guard dog to protect her and the kids, and she - maybe stupidly- chose me.

I lived in AZ for awhile Im quite aware what a chola is. Sorry for singling you out I know your not racist against Mexicans I have no idea what this thread was about. But we can both agree that you dont call a regular chicana a chola without expecting something awful in return lol.

I wish people would stop saying that Asians have small penises, there's no credible sources on the subject and it just make you look like a racist witch.

'Chola' is gender specific. It is in spanish and has a letter 'a' on the end of it. It's feminine.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".
