Hey guys,

As a new member on Dakka here I am with one of my project: construction of a Goliath gang for hours of fun manipulating muscle mans.

The main spirit of the gang will be a mix between the G-Unit crew

and my friends form the excessive metal band GWAR becaus I think they inspire the same intellectual levell then the goliath house.

I'll start easy with a first juve Cause even if they can only shoot at 16" and need a 6+ to hit on open terrain, they are cheap n well assume "kinda suicide missions"
Taking the old GW metal model, trying to make it little more personalized

First step done!
See ya

You're probably right.
Oh well.... I guess I'll use him as a turkey for diversion after his ammo failed on 6+

Love Goliaths, they were the first gang I made. I decided to go the catachan/marauder plastic route and looking back at it now I think the original metal models are so good and those particular plastic sculpts are so bad that it was a mistake. Still, good practise.

There are some amazing Goliath gangs out there on the internets, I'm sure you've seen them already but I have some links if you want any.

Good luck with it all! And ditch the bolt pistol for an autopistol!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Oh and my top tip is have one juve armed only with a massive weapon and send him off to rampage. No gun or he will get distracted.

I've seen some, maybe you can share me a few

Ok guys, here's the deal (because I already started to paint the mini...) I'll keep the boltpistol, but, but, buuuuuut, I swear I'll name it Ruffio on my gang sheet!

Actually, as I realized it wont worth a dime on the table I decided to put him on a base that put him 1/2" higher. So he'll not be able to take full cover: use him as a bait.

Metal minis are cool yeah, but I'll try to mix with catachan too.

"Turkey Ruffio Kido" will be ready soon. Stay tuned!

I'll be more realistic in future Thanks for following!

Here is my first juve of the gang. Witch I will probably not put on the table.... but well, kinda like it that way.

I also started a first ganger with catachan model. He'll have autogun (actually trying to modify lasguns from the box)

Looking good. I think the base looks a bit organic on the painted guy, but the model itself is cool.

The Catachan conversion is coming on really well, all I would say is that, some Catachan infantry arms have really badly sculpted muscles. You might be able to fix them, I've seen that done before, but there are options if you look to different sets. The Catachan command or heavy weapon sprue is better for example.

Final first ganger with autogun+knife.

Sorry for poor picture quality: taken with my phone.

My new miniature for the G-gang: a goliath ganger 'specialist' with a flammer.

As I didn't had any goliath mini with flammer here it is.

I build it with a catachan model. Few convertions with GS, guitar strings, McDonald straw and lolypop stick... why not!

With the two last gangers I did, I think I'm going a little bit away from my original concept (GWAR like warriors). I guess I'll have to put more spikes and chains on the next ones

New ganger in progress. This time with boltpistol n autogun.

Took catachan body with plastic head from the original Necromunda box. Once put together I realized the head was too big.
So I build a larger torso with GS. Proportions looks kind of better now.

Was thinking to had a kickass shoulder pad maybe. Good idea?
