so im playing my friends skaven at 2500pts this coming saturday and i wanted to try a new list as we are playing at warhammer world :-D

I dont like/own mournfang or the big mamoths. And i like bulls over ironguts.

Hes using a sktye themed list that if memory serves...

3 units of non horded 40 stormvermin.
1 unit of 6 ogres
2 doomwheels
2 cannons lightning
And not a huge amount of magic...

Heres my list.

Tyrant 310pts -giant breaker -sword of bloodshed -heavy armour -seed of rebirth  

Slaughtermaster 363pts -ironfist -level 4 -dispell scroll -armour of destiny   (LOTGM)

Bruiser 195pts -BSB -talisman of preservation -enchanted shield -great weapon -heavy armour  

Butcher 138pts -level 2 -iron fist   (i usually use a firebelly but im trying to change the list so not sure what lore)

25 ogres 905pts -iron fists -full command

  30 gnoblars 85pts -standard  

30 gnoblars 85pts -standard  

3 leadbelchers 129pts  

3 leadbelchers 129pts  

Iron blaster 170 pts  

To be --the most--competitive you can, double up on Ironblasters.

The only other thing is: your BSB can't use his Enchanted Shield and a great weapon, so I'd drop one or the other. Maybe swap it for a Charmed Shield.

Well i thought for the sake of 5 pts i may aswell have the better armour for shooting/magic etc...

And i know dual blasters rocks. But i dont have a 2nd unfortunatly and have only JUST finished painting up my one. I dont want to go back to repping my scrap launcher... Anything else?

What about lore on my butcher?

I'd say go into 2 3x4's for the ogres so you can cover a little more ground. Are the gnoblars trappers? I cant remember if its extra points to make them slightly dangerous or not(probably a really stupid question). The army should be pretty good overall not just against skaven. As for the lore, it doesnt amtter too much on the butcher since you already have a level 4. I've always had bad luck drawing the spells I'd like to have with a lvl 2, and its just going to be auxiliary casting more times then not.

Ok. Cool. Well ill split the 25 into 2. And put the butcher in one with lore of beasts for buffs...

And no its an extra 25pts for trappers...
