There's no mention of fixing the player housing situation, which is currently the completely stupid "You can't own a house because it's 'too hard to implement in an MMO'".
If I was going to play a TES MMO, I'd want to be able to do things like buy a house, give my friends "write" access, and use it as a de facto guild armoury.

That is complete BS on their part. Hoizons had player housing with permissions. You could set your house to private, guild or public, they even went further with this because you could have multiple structures on your plot and had permissions for each building. So you could set your house to private, your crafting stations to guild and your own player shop to public.

They're just saving houses for a reason to make you buy the expansion when they're all like "Tada! In this new expasnion you just paid $50 for, you can have your very own house that we totally didn't plan on from the very beginning! Please buy our next expansion for $50 in a year or so, where your guild can have their own hall! The following $50 expansion 1 year after that will allow your guild to have their own public shops! Give us moneys!"
The centre of a massive brood chamber, heaving and pulsating.
And so single player dies completely...

Who'd have thought, a company requiring more than well wishes and good intentions to remain afloat.
No its not. CoH 2 is nearly release as well as Heart of the Swarm.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Also there's been some nice indy strategy games recently as well. Most of them have been turn-based, but not all of them.
Mostly, the industry just needs to learn how to not rip off the 'craft series. Finally, they're learning that.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

The traditional RTS is dying. We're pretty much reliant on one or 2 genres (starcraft and C&C).
That's not really a bad thing. The "traditional rts" was overdone to the point of being by far the most stale, predictable, and boring category of games anyway-- even sports games were less stale than "traditional rts" games were, and half the time they just change a few numbers around on the stats and re-release. And hell, "traditional rts" was this stale a decade ago-- it hasn't gotten any better since then.
If you define "RTS" as "starcraft clone", the "RTS" genre died a long time ago. But that's a silly definition.
