I'm thinking about getting some vallejo paints and premixing up a number of bottles so that I have a supply of a consistent color. I was thinking about just pouring out a few bottles in the proportions I need into a bottle or something and mixing it all up. Then cleaning out the original dropper bottles and pouring the paint back in.

Can you take the dropper top off of a vallejo paint bottle? If not, I can just pick up some of those empty dropper bottles at hobby lobby.

What's the best way to pre-mix paints?

I just checked a couple of mine and yes you can take off the top of the dropper bottles.

Not really sure what the best way to pre mix paints would be but just be prepared to lose some of the paint if you are switching around the containers.

Rather than pouring out and then back in, I'd suggest just getting some empty dropper bottles. Then you can write a label on it with the paint and additive ratios so its easy to remake.

hmm the paints are just mixed 1:1 so it's probably not that hard to remake. I'm just paranoid that if I remake them, they will be slightly off - just enough to be noticeable. This might be a rookie thing to do but I'm just planning on buying/mixing the paints in bulk and having a supply around when I need them for the army that I'm putting together.

if you wanna mix paints in the pots/bottles you can get small paint or cocktail mixers.
