Are super heavies bound by the normal 40k ordnance rules?
I know they can fire all their weapons at different targets, but if one of those weapons is Ordnance, do all the other weapons have to shoot using Snap Fire as normal?

Nope they can fire all their weapons as normal.

Huh, doesn't say that in the FW apoc update for 6th.

Just says they fire as if stationary.

Then I think you answered your original question.

Strikes me as funny is all.
Ii have an apoc game on Sunday and am looking forward to my opponent firing the battlecannon on his Thunderhawk only for me to say "now you need 6's to hit with everything else".

That's all fine and well but I would suggest, in the manner of good sportsmanship, that if they're unaware of this and they opt to fire the other weapons first I think it would be fair of you to say something like "if you do that, you can't fire the battle cannon unless you're snap shotting those now" or "You should fire the battle cannon first so you don't forget to snap shot the other weapons". Basically to avoid the "well you fired everything at full bs so now you can't fire the battle cannon" situation. Again, just a suggestion.

....so we're saying a Baneblade cannot fire its main cannon and its demolisher in the same turn? I've never heard someone getting that from the rules.

Can you show me allowance for it to snap fire a blast weapon after firing ordnance?

BRB, p71, Vehicles & Ordnance Weapons

Vehicles can move and fire with Ordnance weapons. However a vehicle that fires it's Ordnance weapon can only make snap shots with it's other weapons that turn.

Since it refrences "vehicles" in general (does not specify "other than super-heavy" or anything of the sort) I would guess that super heavies have the same restriction unless permission is given otherwise in their specific rules.

I think the FW are lagging behind somewhat. in 6th edition rules. Certainly in a friendly game I would use the old rules, i.e. move at 6" and fire everything as normal.

Considering Apocolypse is about a more casual, friendly game, I'd recommend that you do the same, if only because your opponent is going to be pretty pissed if you tell him that his super expensive centrepiece is pretty much useless.

I'd say I'm sorry the rules do not allow your huge overpriced super hunk of resin to do all you want it to do.
Until a FW faq/errata/update comes out they're just gonna have to be slightly less powerful than they were. (Titans) mainly

Do superheavy vehicles not have a general rule regarding "primary weapons" and how they function?

*edit*
checked, they do have a primary weapon rule but that says nothing helpful here.

No, it makes them useless. A Baneblade can now shoot only its main battle cannon and snap-shoot everything else. It's just become a hyper expensive leman russ.

You clearly don't agree with me so no need to waft the rules in my face.

My hatred of super heavies may have come out a bit there

We have a guy at our shop that only collects apoc stuff, so at our next apoc game I'll gladly tell him all about it. Looking forward to shoving a ton of FMC Daemons down his throat. Smash attacks ftw

However with other people I'd gladly let them use 5th's rules with regards to how they move/shoot etc.

Fair enough. To be fair I have deliberately not pointed out to my friend that he HAD to declare Heroic Intervention when he was deepstriking his Vanguards, just because he's a dick. Anyone else I wouldn't have said anything but if someone's a WAAC prick to me I'm a WAAC prick to them
