Say a warp storm carried a TS battle Barge right into sub-sector Aurelia and the Blood Ravens fought them. If Magnus was with them, would he recognize the facts and admit that his gene-seed was used to make more loyalists?

Seriously, would do you guys think will happen when the TS and Blood Ravens duke it out?

Well i think the blood ravens being in the current half destroyed state they are would fight it out to the last. All the weak willed individuals that would fall to chaos have already been destroyed during the chapters civil war. When confronted with the facts about there gene seed they would accept there origin of there gene seed and promptly flip Magnus off reminding him of the chapters long and glorious history. Then they would make one last stand that would probably decimate the chapter but also put quite a dint in the thousand sons forces present in the sector and if there lucky wound Magnus abit.

Become that which is most feared: Death

The BR would fight to the last since that one guy lived Gabriel if Gabriel died maybe just maybe the BR could go to the TS.

Wherever and whenever they appear they leave only destruction in their wake; they are the Lords of Death, Bringers of War. The Dark Angels.

Thousand Sons Battleship wandering the galaxy...

They'd probably fight each other - until both the Thousand Sons and the Blood Ravens realize they're related to each other. Then its up to the Inquisition - knowing their frak-headed obstinacy, they'd probably declare the Blood Ravens excommunicate traitoris right then and there. Credits to carrots the Blood Ravens will then rejoin the Thousand Sons as the Fourth Fellowship.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

Well, in their current state, I'd wager the TS would wipe the floor with them eventually after a battle to the last man. Even if they found out that they were related by some connection which is yet to be verified

However it would be cool to see robo-angelos and sgt. merrick kick major butt and watch the TS be driven back into the warp.

Why would someone of Magnus' rank and position even bother if the Blood Ravens weren't related to him? He'd do everything he could to get the Blood Ravens rejoin his legion if they were Thousand Sons...it'd make a great story for DoW III. Expanding on Chaos Rising's corruption system...depending on the player's actions (missions chosen, individuals favored, artifacts recovered/destroyed/used), the Blood Ravens either get 'redeemed' and are honored/accepted by the Imperium for being loyal despite a dishonorable heritage (which, to preserve the canon that there are no loyalist Chapters from the traitor legions, would be the non-canon ending, sadly), or are declared excommunicate traitoris (which would be the canon ending). And a twist - depending on the player's actions, the Blood Ravens either accept their fate and follow Magnus and their brothers into the Warp, or initially refuse to accept their fate and are attacked by the Imperium, only to be saved by the intervention of Magnus and the Thousand Sons; with no choice left, the surviving Blood Ravens disappear into the Warp.

None of the above.

Obviously, the 1ksons would never be able to get past the Ork pirates to get to the Marines

When the Blood Ravens and the Thousand Sons fight I think the following will happen:

Opening Cinematic.
Build Stronghold, Chapel Barracks and Armoury
Upgrade and Build lots of Marines etc.
Capture Requisition Points and Build Plasma Generators.
Build Listening Posts on them.
Weaken until the Machine Cult/Orbital Relay becomes available.
Spam Dreadnoughts/Terminators.

Victory.

Rinse and repeat until game is won.

In all honesty though, I think they would be confronted about their geneseed and if it was true/confirmed that it came from the Thousand Sons, they'd probably decide to die in the emperors service as I'd doubt they would be able to return to the imperium/service if their geneseed was derived from traitor stock.

They would fight honourably until death and make a dent in the thousand sons forces but would ultimately be destroyed.

That depends on if Relic wants a sequel.

Unless I'm mistaken, that's really old news. Most likely no longer valid.

At the time, they also said DOW3 would be more RPG than RTS...

I'd be nice to see Tzeentch get some loving, after the nerdrage brought on by a psyker jumping in a lava lake and coming out a Deamon Prince of Khorne...

THQ is being run by the co-founder of naughty dog it was said after their newest game they would be focusing on DW3. As long as D.Eldar show up i am happy. Why would THQ and relic have gotten more years to use GW products, characters, factions if they were going to shelf it.

ADB: I showed the Wolves revealing the key weakness at the heart of the World Eaters; showing Angron that his Legion was broken and worthless compared to the others; that he was the one primarch who couldn't trust his own warriors, and that they didn't care if he lived or died; showing that loyalty to brothers and sons is the heart of success for the Legiones Astartes, to the point even Lorgar makes a big deal out of saying the World Eaters and their primarch were massively outclassed by Russ, and Angron was too stupid to see the lesson Russ had sacrificed time, sweat, and blood, to teach. We're talking about a battle the Wolves won, by isolating the enemy general through pack tactics, and threatening to kill him, without a hope of defending himself. It was a balance, 50/50 - Angron overpowered Russ, and the Wolves were losing ground to the World Eaters; but Russ and his warriors had Angron by the balls, and barely broke a sweat. They won, no question. Lorgar even says: "The Wolves won, meathead."

Dorn won’t help you either. He’s too busy being the Emperor’s groundskeeper, hiding behind the palace walls. The Wolf is too busy cutting off heads as our father’s executioner, while the Lion holds on to his secrets, and has no special fondness for you. Who else will come? Not Ferrus, certainly. Nor Corax either. Even as we speak, I suspect he flees for Deliverance. Sanguinius?’ Curze laughed cruelly. ‘The angel is more cursed than I. The Khan? He does not wish to be found. So who is left? What d'you all think would happen if the Thousand Sons that dropped out of that warp portal were from before the Heresy and still loyal to the Emperor? Sure, they wouldn't have Magnus with 'em, but would things happen differently in that case?
