I'm usually playing my brother who runs DE.

The goal behind this list is to use the accuracy by volume to take out the faster more agile DE. They loathe to be in CC w/ my greenskins so I want to get in super close w/ my boyz and get to Krumpin'

The Deffkoptas are used to draw attention away from the foot sloggers and the trukks. Occationally, they may widdle the HPs off of the raiders. Big Bomm used to drop on any unloaded group I may find (if it survives).

Looted Wagon Boom Gun used to shell the hell out of anything else and hopefully draw attention from the Boyz.

I usually put the Warboss w/ the Nobs because squad of Nobs + WB in a trukk flying at you is a dangerous thing. The Painboy helps keep the wounds in order and the Klaws pop vehicles.

The Weirdboy will be attached to the squad of 21 boyz for the off chance I roll a 5 of 'ere we go! additionally on a roll of 4 will make that squad have 4 attacks on the charge instead of 3, (yikes )

Will the Big Mek do better w/ the Nobs w/ his kustom FF? or should I stick to the Warboss?

Hi, welcome to Dakka! A couple of things.

Drop the 'Eavy Armour, it gets cancelled out too often to make it useful and isn't reliable enough. Take a Cybork Body instead, at least it can't be cancelled out.

I'd take the Big Mek with Kustom Force Field instead. The only time I'd recommend taking a Warphead over him is if you were running a couple of Dakkajets, which you're not.

As much as it pains me to say this (I ran 3 squads of 10 Nobz in Trukks through 5th) I'd drop 3 Big Choppa Nobz, and take 1 more Power Klaw Nob. Also, with that Trukk is going to get blown away given the size of the threat of the unit inside, take a Battlewagon with a Deffrolla, RPJ and a Big shoota instead. Also, drop the 'Eavy Armour, take Cybork Bodies. Also, your Nobz are a Troops choice because you're taking a Warboss, not an elites.

Good.

I'd probably drop both of these, you already have 3 troops choices at 1,500pts, more is a little overkill, and these points are better spent elsewhere.

More trimming, you've almost got it with the second one. if you're going to take Deffkoptas, take them as individuals with Buzzsaws, so that you can fly them up first turn and punch a vehicle in the face. Drop these, and take 2 squads of 1 with Buzzsaws.

Drop this too. I know the boomgun is tempting but that's over 100pts, for a vehicle that's not very durable and not very reliable.

Then spend your spare points on Lootas.

Hope this is useful.

I'm a big fan of the KFF Bik Mek, he has saved my trukks and battlewagons many many times.
So my suggestion is to take him, because trukks are very weak, you need all the protection for them, especially when carrying nobz in them.
That nob squad is going to be killing pretty much everything in close combat anyway, so the warboss isn't necessary, unless you want the nobz to be troops.
You could always add a burna to the Bik Mek too to make it a bit more useful in close range.

That being said, the Warboss isn't bad, but I prefer the Bik Mek.

I'd probably take stormboyz in place of the deffkoptaz. Of course if you do take stormboyz I'd suggest getting a squad of 20 which would require you trimming some other part of your army.
