I've been wanting to make this combo work for a while and I think this is a step in the right direction.

I have all of the eldar models at least, I'd have to get any Dark Eldar ones regardless. To make this list it'd cost $200 just on models, but it isn't too bad.

The idea is that Eldar take up anti-infantry roles while the Dark Eldar provide AT and, more importantly, str 8 ap 2 to help deal with all those nasty terminators.

Eldrad and the farseer ride in the wave serpent. The vypers move just in front of the wave serpent so that they can throw out 3 guides on the vypers, fortune on the serpent, and doom on whatever unlucky squad falls into your cross hairs.

The venom tries to hide behind the serpent, the scourges take cover somewhere and snipe at whatever you need them too. They fly away when something gets close. The ravager takes out landraiders or even just transports on the table. The raider tries to hide the venom until the blasters are needed and, once the squad is disgorged somewhere, tank shocks and rams away.

What do you think? What do you think Eldar/Dark Eldar looks like in 6th?

Is 10 lances not enough? I don't really see people running many vehicles these days, especially those AV14-13.

10 Lances is not enough at 1850 Points, you will still see fully mechanized armies today, I reccomend throwing in some EML's perhaps?

EMLs are lances that are worse and more expensive... Perhaps I should go back to my seer council?

I tested the Eldar half of this army and I really liked my results.

I played against SM drop pods with pedro and vulkan. Perhaps that's not optimized but TL Meltas dropping all over me was about the worst case scenario I could have come up with.

He had the two characters, 3 drop pods (1 with sternguard), and 2 dakka preds.

The 9 Vypers were nearly impossible to take out. The first turn I barely missed getting nightfighting (2+ rerollable cover saves!!) but lucked out by getting first turn.

My Vypers and jetbikes were able to get in the flanks of my opponent's preds turn 2 and blow them up. Since he'd dropped on the objectives, I was able to attack one unit at a time from a distance.

I like the way the list plays, I really do. Perhaps I'll have to borrow a buddy's dark eldar to test the whole thing. It's fun, tricky and actually pretty powerful if you know what you're doing.

My Tyranids would have a time with this list, I truly believe that. My Tau/Orks would also have a rough time of it because rerollable cover saves are no fun for shooting armies. My Tau/Orks would probably win just because of how good that list is.

Anyway, try it out if you have the models. It definitely looks cool on the table.
