This was the finals of a tournament at my local club

His List was something like:

Librarian and 5 marines in lascannon razorback

6x marines in a lascannon razorback

6x Marines in bastion

2x TL autocannon Dreads

2x Vindicators

I won the roll off so I deployed first, positioning my troops in the open so I could advance straight into the objectives and glance his parking lot to death.

He rolled to steal initiative: Dangit!

TURN 1
Since my men were all in the open he popped a barge, exploding(Of Course) and killing 3 men. He concentrates his whirlwinds and kills 7 out of 8 warriors in one of my squad ( I managed to make one of my imotekh Night fighting)Saves, He rakes my c'tan with fire and takes a wound off of it. I roll my 12 reanimation protocols and get NONE

I stormed up with my soldiers, moving into cover. My wraiths fly towards his libby tank and my c'tan and overlord move towards the bastion My barge whizzed ahead 12" and popped open his razorback. Lightning strikes and pops a whirlwind open.


TURN 2

He focused fire on the c'tan with all his dreads and his razorback, downing it. His stormtalon comes in and destroys half a squad of men. The bastion and whirlwind focused on the squads of warriors, wiping out two.

At this point I was losing hope. The lords squad moves towards the bastion. The Remaining squads of warriors sit on objectives and glance the razorback before them to death. The lords squad assaults the bastion , the wraiths try to assault the libby razorback, lose a wraith to overwatch 2/2 saves failed and rol for charge distance needing a three. The overlord destroys the bastion, crushing the inhabitants to death under the rock fall.

TURN 3

His dreads take 2 hull points off the annihilation barge, The whirlwind and stormtalon wipe out the poor overlord's squad, the libby squad assaults the wraiths, the other squad assaults imotekh's squad. The wraiths are almost destroyed, one wound left on a wraith and the space marines lose combat against imotekh, killing all but 1 warriors but losing all but 3 of their own.They make their morale test and stay in combat.

On my turn I kill one marine and run my remaining warrior squad behind a hill onto an objective, the barge takes down the talon

TURN 4
The dreads pop the barge, nothing else can see anything, whirlwinds move up, desperately trying to get los to my squad of men

Imotekh kills a man, nothing else happens as my squad hides cowardly.

TURN 5

The dreads get los to my squad of men, killing all but 2. The whirlwind is out of range. Imotekh Kills the last warrior and consolidated towards a midfield objective.

I move on top of an objective with immotekh and one warrior. The two warriors hold

We roll off and the game ends

I ended up winning, with to objectives to one. I felt bad about winning the prize money with 4 surviving men so I split it with him,

Close game it seemed like Night Fighting didn't help you all that much. I'm curious as to why you have a ctan shard. I personally would of replaced the C'tan with wraiths and some flyers. Grats on the win.
