I think this series has been amazing, especially the 6th episode. You can tell they've studied politicians during Leverson. Did feel that the acress doing Nicola Murray is just...bad. But I thought that about her in the last series too.

Will catch this series sometime, probably when it comes out on DVD. It's good stuff. And I didn't want to leave this thread on 0 replies!

I wonder if he did it in order to portray himself as a vulnerable human being and really hadn't planned to say anything at all?
My only disappointment (a minor one) with the latest series was the lack of Jamie McDonald this time round; he's arguably nastier than Tucker, gets great lines and the two of them on screen at once is usually a laugh!
Jamie's nastier than Malcom but he also has less humanity. I don't know how he'd have fitted into the last series given they "tied up" a lot of the characters.
Also here is his brilliant soliloquy for anyone who missed it:

God, the enquiry episode has been my favourite episode ever. It's possibly Tucker's finest hour, in my opinion.
As for what he was going to say... Probably something Cantona-esque. Seagulls, trawlers etc. I reckon he was just exhausted by the whole thing and couldn't be bothered to rant any more.
I loved his speech about how the job took over his life in the last episode. Capaldi is a great actor - kind of like a Scottish Pacino!
I thought the actress the played Nicola Murray was quite good actually.
I was disappointed that we didn't get to see Jamie again. I thought he was going to appear when Malcolm was having that heated exchange with Olly about him wanting to be the "new Malcolm".
