Subject: High Elves Progression Campaign Lists, 500-2500
So once I get my table built, my wife and I will be starting up our Blighted Isle campaign pitching my High Elves against her Dark Elves.
The idea for the campaign is for the armies to grow as it progresses, so every 3 battles the army will gain 500 points.
One of the core rules to it is that the armies must grow, not change completely. So the characters and units that appear in any list must be present in the larger sizes of the army. So if you have a hero in 500 points, you couldn't just have a mage at 1000 points, the here would still need to be in the list, same with units. This isn't too much of a challenge, since I'm writing both armies lists. So if you are wondering why some of the choices in these lists were made, odds are that's why.
There are 5 lists total: 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500. Once I finalize the DE lists I'll post those as well.
As always, criticism is welcome, always trying to improve.
Without further adieu:

I like it for the most part. The progression works pretty well and the lists are pretty standard fare but nothing too exciting. Running the unkillable life mage and couple of combat blocks is tried and tested after all. My only real comments are that I would put the mage in first at the lower points levels and maybe get some more boys on the board before such an expensive unit like the DPs which are over a third of you entire points allowance at 500pts.

I don't generally like magic in 500 point games because a single spell can pretty much determine the entire game, and those smaller games are meant to ease my wife into the game flow and mechanics since she's rather out of practice.
As for the DP's, they perform quite well against her DE's, and I need something with decent armor to ignore all those RXB shots.
Her 500 point list will closely resemble this one, so as to balance things out a little.
