A bit odd that the official victrix site itself lacks any mentioning of these

Our latest boxed set of 28mm hard-plastic miniatures VX0016 Napoleon's Middle Imperial Guard is almost with us. The boxes are with the printers, and we expect to start shipping orders by 12th November. You can start pre-ordering this fantastic set of figures from 29th October.

You get 60 figures wearing campaign dress of greatcoats and covered shakos for only £22.95 GBP RRP. There are pose options of marching, advancing and firing line, plus there are officers, drummers and standardbearers (two figure options for each command type). There are 64 heads in covered shakos, showing the variety and character of expression you have come to enjoy and expect in Victrix sets.

This figure set has a lot of versatility. We designed the heads to have the thistle-shaped plume, rather than just the pom-pom. This gives the figures a lot more flexibility to make other units of Napoleon's elite infantry on campaign. All you do is remove the top of the tuft to make the Middle Guard, Turin Velites, and some units of Line Chasseurs. By leaving the tuft on, you can make line grenadiers, line voltigeurs, tirailleurs, chasseurs and carabiniers.

You will receive a free transfer sheet with every box you order on pre-order from 29th October to the 12th November. This applies to individual boxes or purchasing Middle Guard as part of multi-box deals. (Please note that all multi-box deals are post-free worldwide!)

The transfers have been designed by Steve of Little Big Men Studios, and are for the cartridge box covers and shako covers, as sometimes Imperial Eagles were painted on the front of the oilskin covers.

That is a very well done set. Victrix continues to impress!

I guess it is fair to mention that all of the companies producing 28mm Napoleonic plastics seem to be "hitting it out of the park".

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

it is so very tempting to get into 28mm Napoleonics...

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

life.

These are also quite useful for a variety of other projects such as sci fi soldiers.

I collect:

Grand alliance death (whole alliance)

Stormcast eternals

Slaves to Darkness - currently Nurgle but may expand to undivided.

Would make some nice Napoleonic Era styled IG for sure.

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...
