Noticed that for Orks my Big Choppa is considered a two-handed weapon, +2 strength.

I looked in my codex and the BRB and all i found is two-handed weapons "do not get benefits from charging" however i havnt been able to find anything stating that its the only weapon im allowed to have.

Can i still run a Warboss on a Bike with a Shoota/Skorcha kombi weapon and also have a big choppa, just unable to have the benefit of both? Or am i forced to only have the kombi+normal choppa, or a big choppa alone?

Two-handed weapons do not get the bonus for having 2+ CCWs.
Big Choppa/kombi-weapon is a legal load-out, however, you will never get bonus attacks for 2 CCWs.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Meh while waiting for a response i found other rules that made big choppas even more pathetic. Reason i wanted to run a big choppa was because my warboss is metal and has a bigchoppa on it already, and i live in a place where random craft materials can be annoying to get (i.e. a sheet of plain plastic) because i dont speak local language (damn military life lol).

Gonna try to manufacture a klaw anyway. Warboss with bike, shoota/skorcha kombi, PK, and Bosspole...slap him in with some nob bikers and RIDE ON!!! lol

thx tho

Im sure you can get some "For sale" signs or anything similar to that in the country you live in. That would work well enough. If not, theres a tutorial on DAKKA somewhere that shows how to turn a shoota/slugga into a powerklaw. Ill see if I can find it. ALSO you could easily take the chainsaw choppa from a boy, and modify it to the bigchoppa your metal boss has, and make it look like a PowerKlaw that way. Then it would still count as a PK

Might as well revive this post rather than make a new one:

Big choppas. How exactly do you use them, since they dont get benefits from other weapons.
Am i rolling a seperate (say diff color) dice for that one attack thats is Str 6 instead of Str 4? Sorry this is rather confusing to me. Right now all i use are PKs, but theyre pricy as hell. I find people mentioning big choppas in high value for 5pts but nothing as to how you fight with it since it has that silly no benefit rule.

Think of it as a 2-handed/cumbersome weapon.
+2 Str all the time, still using base attacks though. It gets +1 attack and +1 Str (furious charge) which can make them pretty handy at popping vehicles.

So there isnt anything funky about them dice-wise? i just roll like i do with PK's only no AP and +2str vs double?

But whats with the BRB mentioning two-handed weapons not getting a benefit of other weapons? Or is it talking about some special-rule benefit that a shoota/slugga wouldnt have anyway

It simply means if you have a choppa/slugga you get +1 attack. If you have a Big Choppa/slugga, you do not get the bonus.

OK that makes much more sense now. Seems debatible to me but nolonger worthless and actually should GIVE you more points for taking it like i felt before.

Literally thought i loss the bonus attack for slugga-choppa but only 1 attack got 2+ str. Thats stupid lol.

Thank you for clearifying this.
