Say we have a unit of Raptors who did not use their jump packs in the movement phase. With them, is a Chaos Lord on a Juggernaut, so he is cavalry.

When the unit charges, which units' charge rules apply to the rolled dice distance?

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

they aren't all JI and they aren't all cavalry so it looks to me like 2d6 the end.

I'd say that they get the re-rolls, both units have the ability to re-roll so whichever is the slowest will still have that ability.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

You would be wrong because those abilities require all units to have that specific USR or Wargear. fleet says if all models have fleet not if all models have the ability to reroll.

Ok I see the fleet thing, where is the limit on jump infantry? They say when a model not when a unit consisting of....

It's a mixed unit, they have to move at the slowest. the slowest in this case would be the calv as they don't get the benefit from fleet. 2 dice no reroll imo

How are they slowest? The two units ignore difficult terrain. They move at the same speed. This would be very very different if the jump infantry were charging on foot rather than using their jetpacks.

Jump doesn't have it specifically, I believe the page 21 clause would kick in do to the no Jump Juggernaut champ. Best way to play this is just have everyone move 12 in the movement phase, and avoid the issue or split the IC off and have them charge independently.

I agree it seems stupid to join the units especially if you may end up loosing the re-rolls. Though I wish there was a way to have more than HQ unit's on juggernauts, the new models for the fantasy range are just a backpack away from being excellent world eater elites.
