Subject: Imetron as 'generic' Combined Army only - really?

Am I missing something here, or is the Imetron really only available in the 'generic' Combined Army list, and not at all for Shasvastii and Morat sectorials?
I would've sworn they were available for all, but Devil Team's army builder is saying "no"!

Unless they've changed it recently, the sectorials should not have access to Ímetrons as far as I know. I know I would love me sum of dat in my MAF. You can always hope that paradiso let's us have them. It would be stupid to bundle it with a model that is available to all CA armies if it's regular-CA-exclusive.

This sounds predictable enough, to be honest. The lists, while they can include EI drones (such that they have access to all the remote based support that all non-Ariadna sectorials get), are very distinctly not under direct EI command - hence, no Aspects or Imetrons. Inconvenient, but not unpredictable. They bundle Karakuri in 3s when only 1 can be in a general list, Odalisques in 4s when only 2 can be in a general list, etc, etc,...

I see your point, but it's not exactly the same. Even though you're not allowed to field an entire box of Yaogat in a regular CA list, you still have some use for them. You can use every single Yaogat model, just not at the same time.

It's not like the Imetron cannot be used as a proxy in the Sectorials though.

@Inanimate: Then the Yu Jing support box. If you want a Yaozao to go with your Tokusetsu in JSA, then it always comes* with an engineer and doctor that cannot be used in that list.
CB do have to bundle things in ways that aren't useful to all the players all the time in order to keep their range a manageable size.
(*Excepting Shae-Konnit, of course, but I'm assuming his service is being ignored for the sake of this conversation).

Ok, I didn't realize there were similar deals (with the exception of starters). I'm not really that into any other armies except CA, so I don't know that much about what they can and can't take in their respective lists. I only saw that this would be the second ever deal (starter being the first) in the CA range to mix models that can't always be fielded together (unless Paradiso changes this).
On a similar note, a box set of Gwailos would've been really nice. People seem to be taking several of them at a time.

I know I would love Imetrons for my shas. I'm always outnumbered by almost everyone. Imetrons could help.

Nonsense. Everyone will have use for Imetrons.
If you're not fielding them, they'll make wonderful scenery elements.
