Since last night the GW website has been all blank for me. I cleared my cookies and all that jazz but still nothing. Did I break the interwebs? Was just going to download all the FAQ's to my tablet and even the direct link to that page is blank.

There is a slight possibility that it could be your browser. Or the hurricane bearing down on the Eastern Seaboard of the US.

Actually, the GW North America page warned us that it might happen. Maybe they left their servers in MD?

What is strange is that there is the watermark style background image just no content.

It is also blank-watermark in Europaland. I guess they've been doing some updating and something has gone wrong.

There are already power outages and flooding in the NE and the storm hasn't hit land, yet.

It's the hurricane.

When we get a storm here on the other coast the wind just changes direction for a little while and the waves get awesome. Thoughts and prayers with the storm victims...

It isn't the storm. There's a notice saying that it's site maintainence. If their servers went out from the storm, they wouldn't be saying that....

It appears we're having a few issues with the website at the moment (in technical terms: it doesn't work) but Servitors 13 and 14 are working hard to resolve the issue.

Love how American posters naturally assume that a British company, with its major market in Britain, would have their site hosted in the eastern United States. Top job, lads

It's not unheard of to have a remote hosting service in another country nor is the UK it's largest market.

But thanks for the snarkiness.

There's arguably virtue to having a locally hosted mirror in the US as well. Cuts down on oversea bandwidth and reduces latency.

Even when a Canadian and British poster both post saying it?

Seriously guys the world doesn't revolve around New England.

The shear vitriol of this sentence is why you're going back on ignore.

You lasted about a month, though. Best that could be expected.

Technical difficulties, but all fixed now.

All is well in the world once again.
