I noticed over the reading of Deliverance Lost, The night lord books and even a second of the first heretic how much corax and konrad resemble each other. Is this a founded argument and were they designed to be so much alike yet so different.

Wherever and whenever they appear they leave only destruction in their wake; they are the Lords of Death, Bringers of War. The Dark Angels.

Oh, you think the darkness is your ally, but you merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!- Helen Keller

Pretty much every Primarch had a close similarity with another of his brothers.

It would appear the Emperor created 10 templates and made 2 copies of each template, each became different but they had similer primary traits.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

I wouldn't go so far as that. Curze and Corax, *maybe* Perturabo and Dorn have some similarities but then you have Khan, Lorgar, Fulgrim, etc. who don't have a counterpart.

This is one of the theories that I have had for a long time. Are you so sure that they don't have a counterpart? Lets go with the obvious ones, which obviously aren't necessarily correct.

Perturabo and Dorn
Corax and Curze
Angron and Russ

Now the not so obvious and my attempt at a justification as to why

Sanguinius and Horus > Angel and Demon - Both the brightest stars
Ferrus and Fulgrim > Their friendship and struggle for perfection - Iron Hands belief that the flesh is weak.
Lorgar and Guilliman > great writers and ordered minds.

This leaves Alpharius, Magnus, The Khan, the Lion, Vulkan, Mortarion and missing Primarch 1 and 2.

These are the Primarchs that I struggle to place with this theory. Possible one of the missing Primarchs is Magnus opposite and could be why he is now missing, rampant mutation or psychic corruption led to the Emperor killing it. But then what about the others. There are other ways of making them fit, but some of the justifications I am not so sure of and some also share similarities with other Primarchs such Curze and Sanguinius with their foresight.

My impression from what I know of Corax is that he seemed more unto Alpharius than Night Haunter

features wise in deliverance lost corax had a great line were he looked at curze and saw himself if things were different.

I always believed Sanguinius and Angron to be similar but different.

Both lust for blood, but Sanguinius keeps it pent up inside
Angron is the Red Angel
Sanguinius is an Angel
etc...

Vulkan and Ferrus.

Perturbo goes with Dorn.

I don't think there's much to the pairing theory. Even Perturabo and Dorn are not truly opposites or even complimentary. They just both happened to be interested in a particular (and particularly important) aspect of warfare.

As for Corax and Konrad -- I mean, they're both pale guys with dark hair, I guess. Not sure what other argument there is. There's a huge difference between terror tactics and ambushing the enemy.

In my view of it, there are no direct pairings. Every Primarch has 1 or 2 (or more) others who reflect aspects of themselves. Hence why this thread is showing a great deal of variety in the pairings.

Yeah I think Corax is inbetween Konrad and Alpharius.

I don't think there are direct opposites, but a lot of similarities
