I'm looking at building a Chaos list including Abaddon, and in order to keep painting it interesting, I'm thinking of including different units from various chaos legions to reflect Abaddon's "uniter instead of divider" status.

I'd like to pick specific legions, traitor chapters, whatever, to make each unit unique, but also I'd like the legion to reflect the nature of the unit. For example, I'd paint the Vindicator in Iron Warriors colors.

The list is, roughly (with a few choices already):

Abaddon
Chosen - World Eaters (these guys accompany Abbadon and are CC oriented)
Chosen (shooty unit, lots of plasma)
Chosen (shooty unit, lots of plasma)
Helbrute (the stock guy with Fist and Multi-Melta)
Raptors
Havocs
Vindicator - Iron Warriors
Forgefiend

I'd rather like to do the Forgefiend as Iron Warriors as well, but I think the Vindicator is more iconic for that Legion, and I'd prefer not to repeat a Legion. I've always liked Word Bearers, so something will be them, and because it's Abaddon, something needs to be Black Legion. Besides first Chosen unit (who are Khorne marked), nobody is marked.

Suggestions?

Have Your Hellbrute be Iron Warriors too.
Your Raptors could be night lords
Your Forgefiend do as BlackLegion cos it looks awesome in black/Gold
if you had noise marines in your army I'd naturally do them as emperors children but you could do one of your chosen squads like that.

I'd put the Hellbrute as Word Bearers, as it's the most Demon-y unit there (Unless you want to take a Dark Apostle or Demon Prince)
Here's how I'd probably run the rest
Chosen - You could model them as Thousand Sons, Death Guard or Emperors Children easily enough.
Raptors - Night Lords
Havocs - Iron Warriors
Vindicator - Iron Warriors
Forgefiend - Maybe Black Legion,
Also, Alpha Legion cultist insurgents would be a nice way to get a really cheap extra legion in the mix.
