On my 4th match now and I have alot of questions, hope you guys don't mind me grouping these questions together in 1 post instead of making a bunch of threads.

Okay here we go:

1. I keep screwing up on movement of vehicles, so just to confirm I've finally got it right... or not:
- a vehicle moves 6" = combat speed
- a vehicle moves 6"-12" = crusing speed
- in the shooting phase a vehicle can move an additional 6" = flat out
- if its a "fast" vehicle add 6" to the flat out = 12" flat out
- if its a skimmer & fast add yet another 6" to flat out = 18" flat out
- a landspeeder storm can move a max of 12"+18"= 30" going flat out?

2. Landspeeder storm has scouts onboard, scouts can assault after disembarking as it is an open-topped vehicle which automatically makes it an assault vehicle right?

3. Same scouts can only disembark if the landspeeder storm has not exceeded combat speed? Or are there special rules I am missing for fast, opentopped, skimmers I'm missing?

4. Normally template weapons (say flamers for IG) are not allowed to touch your own units when firing them, hence you would be inclined to put flamer units in the front of your squad, however during overwatch you use the "wall of death" rule, you do not deploy the template, does this still allow flamers say somewhere in the middle of the squad to participate in the overwatch?

5. When piling in in closecombat, do participants move around objects? I had an imperial guard infantry blob charged by scouts between 2 tanktraps, the gap too small to allow more than 4 guards to be base to base with the scouts, do the guardsmen pile in behind the 4 in front, or move around the tanktraps and possibly breaking squad coherency?

6. Regarding the scout marine sergean, his profile has 2 attacks, normal scouts have 1. I've outfitted my scouts with a combat blade and a pistol. Therefore I assume I am adding 1 attack to their profile, 3 for the sergeant, 2 for the scouts total. On the charge this would mean 4 attacks for the sergeant (2 from the base profile, 1 from the additional cc weapon, 1 from charging) correct?

7. Can Marbo fire his pistol AND drop his demo charge in the same shooting phase?

Okay, thats a wall of text, hope somebody can help!

2) Yes
3) You can only ever disembark if thevehicle moved no more than 6", unles you have a special rule that overrides this. Fast, open topped, etc do not say this
4) Yes
5) Pile in follows assault moves, which requires that you end up in coherency
6) Yes. Profiles dont usually include the bonus for 2CCW unless explicitly stated otherwise
7) No, as he is an Infantry model and can only fire one weapon per shooting phase

The only thing I'd clarify on is that cruising speed for standard vehicles is over 6" up to 12". As you have it written above, a vehicle could go combat and cruising speed if it went 6" even.

Just....a little fix, other than that I think Nos covered the rest.

Q 7: He is a infantry model , a infantry can usually fire only one of his weapons per shooting phase. The exception is : infantry can fire two pistols in the same shooting phase.

Demo charge is not a pistol,so he cannot fire both the charge & pistol.

Point 2 - yes, being open-topped makes the vehicle an assault vehicle. So if the unit is allowed to disembark, it is allowed to charge that turn.
Note that the restriction for disembarking is a maximum of 6", and NOT just combat speed. The only place I think this distinction is important is I think with the Ork rule "Red Paint Job", which gives the vehicle a "free" inch - it would be possible to move 7" at combat speed.
Also, note that disembarking occurs in the Movement phase so the vehicle can still move Flat Out in the shooting phase afterwards.

No it cannot - if you embark or disembark troops you cannot flat out, same as 5th

Probably the person he posted immediately after that asked for a citation...

Pg 78/79 Super...

If the vehicle moved before its passengers got aboard, it cannot move further that turn (including pivoting on the spot or moving Flat Out). If the vehicle did not rnove before its passengers got aboard, it can move as normal after they have embarked..

Same with disembarked.
