This has been a project that started summer 2011. I decided to create a Mexican themed squad. The heads, sixshootas and other small parts are bought from puppetswar. The greenstuffing, modding etc are done by myself, used about 2 packets of GS for it. And the paintjob on the orks are done by the fantastic Irish lass known as Ifalna. Can't praise her enough. Dedicated, very good painter, and great communication underway.

The nob himself
The shotgun is from GorkaMorka (1998), biker legs and left arm..

Tekilla-carrying ork.

Maraccas and rokkit launcher...

Most of the gang

And their ride

Complete with roller de muerto

More pictures in my gallery, if intrested.

Phenomenal mate, absolutely terriffic stuff!

For the Lion and Terra!

Because nothing in the galaxy is black and white, Mankind views the Space Marines as a last resort. The last line. When all else fails. They take up the burden. The noble defenders of Mankind. The last hope.

I remember seeing that Ork on Ifalna's blog, she certainly does do some awesome work. I have to ask though.. what is with the pose of his left arm? is he dropping the pistol?

The paint job is really good, but that bike arm and legs on the nob are distracting me from it.... The arm looks really awkwardly posed and unnatural, and bike legs are mostly only good for when you're hiding the ass of the model in a vehicle.

Other than that, it's a fun unit.

Yea i have to agree about that arm, though the way you paint Ork faces is amazing, they look so scary.

As the OP stated, he didn't paint the Orks - Ifalna did.

Yeah this looks cool, and I personally find this hilarious, but is this not a little on the racist side? My morality meter has been broken for years, so I could be wrong.
Tekilla ork looks like he's here to Waagh less, and party more. I would like to demand the sleeping-ork-under-the-sombrero-leaned-up-on-a-cactus objective marker.

I thought the same thing, but then I guess any depiction of any race could be considered that. At least they aren't really doing anything disrespectful.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Much appreciated.
To answer a bit:
- The left arm.. I agree, it looks a bit strange, the thought behind it was to make him look as big and menacing as possible. He looks better when seen from the side, but I am considering finding the tools and giving him a go.

- Racist? Really? I am taking the wild west stereotype mexican and putting some waagh into it. In my book racism is if I judge someone because of the colour of their skin/religion or cultural heritage.
I guess it must be pretty damn racist that there is only white Space marines too then? Since the black/yellow/redskinned aren't tough enough to get through the selection? No?

These are just awesome. They exemplify exactly what the Orks are. Brutal and grim, but still a huge comedic relief for the Warhammer 40k universe. I especially like the "Tekilla" bottles.

Why would you even bring that up? No one else seemed to be concerned, please don't bring up racism for no reason whatsoever.

Some of the true racists are the ones who say things are racist for no reason.
