Sooooooooo...have poked around the forums and haven't found a discussion of this yet.
A Tzeentch Herald on a Chariot is a jetbike. Jetbikes can turbo-boost. "Jetbikes...can make a special Turbo-boost move, instead of firing in their Shooting phase.... Jetbikes therefore cannot shoot...for the rest of the turn after Turbo-boosting" (BRB 45).

I can also give my Tzerald "Master of Sorcery" which lets him "use one extra ranged weapon in its Shooting phases" (Codex: Daemons 74) This means the model can fire +1 gun per phase. So here's the crux: can I turbo-boost and also fire a gun, just like the old PotMS?

Turbo-boosting jetbikes can't shoot. But MoS lets me use an extra weapon [it seems that "use a ranged weapon" cannot mean anything except "shoot"; what else am I gonna do with it?]. I go from firing 0 guns to firing 1 gun.

Please don't compare this to PotMS in 6th. The new "Machine Spirit" makes some very specific nerfs that Master of Sorcery does not make. A better comparison might be a Tzeentch Daemon Prince with Mos who runs. Normally he can fire 3 guns; when he runs can he still fire 1?

Turbo boosting/running replaces Shooting IIRC

not the same as 5th.

Instead of firing != you cannot fire 1 weapon.

Firing more than 1 weapon doesnt mean you are allowed to shoot when you are told you are unable to fire

But look at the quotes I provided above. MoS does NOT say "you can fire more than one weapon," it says you can "use an extra gun." Which means theoretically I could fire more than zero guns, right?

You could, but turbo-boosting prevents you from firing anything whatsoever, so you can't.

Nope as you gave up the right to shoot any.

You are not allowed to fire *anything*. Firing something contravenes this.

You know this same argument of no used to be used on the Stormraven and Potms when moving flat out...

Except it can still use potms after moving flat out.

not seeing a difference here.
