Hi all,

I've decided to start magnetising my next marine army (mainly pre-heresy forge world stuff) and I was wondering of anyone had any advice on the size of magnet I should use? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Depends on the application and the strength of the magnet. For holding on individual weapons I used a 1/16th inch diameter magnet 1/32nd inch thickness which was rated at N40 I believe. Those hold all my tau battlesuit weapons no problem. For holding on vehicle weapons and such I picked up 1/8th inch diameter with the same thickness and rating and they do a good job.

They're mainly for my heavy/special weapon guys. If those magnets work will battle suits, they should work for my guys I'd think. Cheers

I got some magnets of the same size (1/16X1/32) and my fat fingers find them way too small to even handle.I think I ended up with some 1/10X1/16- I place them using a tooth pic with some blue tac on the end. Drop of glue on the model- magnets on the tooth pic and place it in the glue.

On the plains of hesitation lie the blackened bones of countless millions who at the dawn of victory lay down to rest, and in resting died.
