So a buddy and I are going to start working on a pirate themed WHFB Goblin army and I need a little help working out what I should do with certain models

So far I have these ideas:

Regular goblins will be wearing all manner of bandanas, hats and eye-patches with red and white striped shirts or something similar
Wolf Chariots will be remodeled to look like land ships or little pirate ships on wheels possibly using the look out sir! Gnoblars as crows nests on them
Squig Hoppers will be changed into Squid Hoppers same with the Mangler Squids (I'll be custom making these guys)
and I plan on making unit filers like treasure chests and goblins digging up holes and such

Now what I need help with:

How do I make the Spiders look piratey (my buddy recommended painting an orky jolly roger on the Arachnarok and building a big mast or something as a stand in spider shrine)
Night goblins I literally have no ideas here
and any other ideas would be appreciated

So I was trawling around the internets looking for ideas and I stumbled along this

Spider crabs!

And Lobster Arachnarok

also I cam up with an idea for fanatics I'll replace the balls on their chains with anchors it's a simple change but I think it'll be effective

Changing the spiders to hermit crabs would be another similar idea - find/make an appropriate shell shape, perhaps even real shells (each can be different), reposition the spider legs to all point forwards and put the resulting 'front' body into the shell, add pincers perhaps, add a goblin rider on top of the shell.

Night goblins - maybe instead of wearing black hoods, they drape themselves with seaweed?

I'm not so keen on your wolf chariot idea - land ships would seem to suit a land-based army, and I think an amphibious army theme would suit you better - pirates living in shallow water who sneak onto dry land to loot and wage war. So expand on the crab theme, with other amphibious/underwater creatures the goblins have tamed.

Oh, and there are some great pirate-themed goblin heads available from various manufacturers.

I'm liking those ideas other then the land ships not quite sure what to do with the chariots maybe something with sharks?

@Kroothawk: yeah I'd seen that site but i must have missed those bits they'd be nice to spruce up some of the bases

for counts-as chariots, maybe abandon the literal 'creatures pulling a chariot' concept and instead go for something like giant lobsters or shellfish or aquatic centipedes? So long as it fits nicely onto a chariot base and is ridden by a counts-as chariot crew, I don't think there'd be much confusion.

Sudden crazy idea - the goblins use magic to reanimate and enslave drowned sailors then use them to pull chariots? That would be pretty easy to model using zombies etc, and would retain the traditional chariot concept.
