Does the Hive Tyrant Hive Commander/ Swarmlord Alien Cunning grant a Tervigon (a troop choice due to having a group of Termagants) the ability to outflank???

! have many other Tyranid questions as well. Im a local player and global knowledge always helps our group become better. Thank you!!!

Yes. However, it won't be able to cast buffs or maledictions, or spawn gaunts on the turn it comes in.

Or assault. It's usually better to deploy and advance w tervigons.

Been out of the game for awhile, trying to find time to get back into it.

Yes, you can outflank a Tervigon using Hive Command since it is a troop choice when you buy a unit of Termagants. The Swarmlord's Alien Cunning does not let you outflank a troop like Hive Command. It allows you to reroll the outflank results so if you don't like the side you are coming in on, you can reroll it to hope for something better.

I like using that tactic of outflanking a Tervigon because it lets a Tervigon drop in closer to enemy lines, get behind an enemy position, and you then can spawn more termagants in the following turn to multiply the threat. You can't spawn Termagants the turn the Tervigon outlfanks because spawn happens at the start of the movement phase but the Tervigon is technically off the board. Something to keep in mind.

jus read that but with enough protection and support such as spore dropped units or y genestealers a tervigon in the enemies back field would be pretty distracting.
