Why Eastern Front? Well I'm doing all of it, Barbarossa to Berlin

This will be in 15mm (yes I am a heretic!) mainly because I've got a huge collection of Early War Soviets already. Anything Soviet will be painted by me, anything German (vehicles anyway) will be painted by someone else unless I say otherwise. I hate painting German Camo so I have someone providing me with vehicles with this done for me, I am however basing them and adding a little extra in the way of pigments.

This will jump about abit period wise as I get various stuff together. The goal is to add the necessary Soviet units and do a complete German force from scratch as quickly as possible. I may not be ready for BGK but I'm determined to be ready for everything else!

So my first offering - Panthers, both A's and G's here:

Would make for an interesting what if campaign would take a bit of working out but could be done .lets face it you need some kind of incentive for the German player to if not win at least hold his own ,pathers look well by the way

Awesome work! Can you talk us through how you did the pigments and tracks? Are these PSC models? My own Eastern Front collection keeps getting delayed since I've come back to uni, It's so frustrating seeing top class collections like this.

Pigments are really simple, Paint some fixer on the area you want the mud to be, then heap a load of pigment on a brush and dump it on top, shake off excess and there you go. You can wait awhile and brush some off as well to taste but you need to be careful as it tends to spread all over the place. These are all PSC.

Glad you like em.

Very nice. I'd like to hear how you made your MG nests.

As an aside, I notice that PSC 15mm miniatures have gone missing from the wayland games website. Most suspicious...

I got those off a bloke on ebay, he's just starting up and these are his first product, they are solid resin and cost £5 for the four, I'll see if I can dig out a link.

Edit: His name is aarondpjames

Shame, I was hoping you'd scratch built them from cocktail sticks or something.

I`d say you could make those with some dowel & scrap hardboard from your local hardware store .in fact im looking at some place mats i picked up dirt cheap which could foot the bill no bother ,also got a roll of the nonslip mesh you can pick up in £/$ stores .i think i may give this a go for my 20mm stuff later this week and post a few picks .if you`re selling stuff like this it makes sense to cast it in risen that way they are all the same plus it cuts down on labor/cost .if you fancy a bit of diy go for it if not id see about looking that guy up .

I've got a few of those as well. For a fiver they are an absolute bargain.
