Ive been looking for a Nork conversion for a while. What i have wanted from a Nork is one that makes him stand out from other ogryn, one who actually looks like he belongs in the company command squad rather than some ogryn that could exist running in the front lines.

In my opinion the one from GW is terrible looking. His head is way too big for his body not to mention the cartoonish look. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1140063

I love the way he looks in the codex, stern on the outside but stupid on the inside. I love the medals on his chest especially when the description describes all the trophies hes collected.

So far i have not been able to find a conversion i actually like. I need ideas on what to do. I think this would also work for other people looking to get an actually cool looking Nork model.

Victoria Lamb did an amazing conversion back in 2002, using the base Nork model, resculpting and reposing the arms, and sculpting the officer from scratch:

A simple search came up with this: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/278951.page

Really depends what exact look you're after, looking through GW's ogryns you could easily base a custom job on one of them, or even go the route as the above thread poster by basing it off a WFB Ogre Bull. Using one of the GW ogryns as base you could add a jacket or longcoat, perhaps reshape his armor plates to be more uniform, add the medals, potentially even a hat or something if that'd be your fancy.

Damn lol, if only Victoria actually sold that as a complete miniature.

Im looking at the bone'ead and i can definately see some resemblance to Nork. Im not the best with sculpting and converting but i might just end up with that.

I second the Ogre idea. I've seen some excellent conversions based on an ogre bull, with sculpted-on jacket and shoulder pads - the result was barely recognisable as having once been an ogre bull. Hmm, some of the ogre monstrous creature riders could be useful too, if you can find them.
