So as the Title implies Are Ard Boyz good in a 2000 pt game? Against a shooty army for example (necron and marines). Im not 100% up to date on 6th ED and my rule book is in the mail. Ive never liked running them for they are too point heavy for me. But anyone have any good tips or run them on a normal basis to know that they are a good troop choice for their point value.

Thanks in advance

Would say no. It's a bit too many points imo. I can't see a situation I'd rather have the 4+ save instead of just more models on the table.

Without doing the math, I bet you'd end up saving with the same number of models just by buying more men, and that also gives you more firepower, help with mob rule, etc.

Yeah I agree with you. But a squad of 30... seems to be the way to go with them, read different tactics to use them... I probably will run them once or twice to see how they turn out, but I dont think that Ill like the out come.

If you do run them I'd suggest putting mad dok with them that way they have the 4+ and feel no pain, which would possibly make them worth their points.

Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.
