So I just came across the character limit for the gallery section. Came across an image where they asked for a decent critique so decided why not help them out. A few minutes later I was already to post it and found out I'm completely over it. There was also no way to get what I had typed back besides pressing back. I know it's been mentioned there is a gallery rework of such and I was wondering if it would be possible to both increase the limit on comments and add something that'd show how many characters you have remaining when typing it in. I was completely unaware there was a limit of 1024 characters until just now as it doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere obvious.

I should make a visible note of the character limit, I agree. Expanding the limit is not possible without some additional database overhead that would be unacceptable due to the volume of database requests caused by the gallery already though.

I never even knew there was a limit.
Luckily most of my posts aren't that long, let alone my comments on the gallery
