Howdy all.

It's taken me a long time to start up an army, but with some help from a co-worker I've finally got the roots of a Space Marine army in the making. I've got a colour scheme laid out but I have been having some second guesses aboot it. I guess I can just chalk that up to always wanting the best of every world, so I'm confident that I'll stick with what I've prepared, for the time being at least. I'm interested in checking out some of these events I've read a little about on the forum so far, but I do still have to get some more of the rules burned into my head before I can ask someone if they'd like to have a friendly game. I can understand that some people wouldn't enjoy having to wait for someone to read through the rule book as they're just trying to get as many games in as possible =d. With that said, I also understand that I can attend these events without actually having to play a game, but who doesn't want to show up ready to rumble, right?

I live in Mississauga. I'm looking to meet some people within the community to play some casual games. I guess I'll make a note of it here, that I do a fair bit of gaming on a platform called Steam, so if anyone wants to hit me up there & crack some skulls, I'm down.

A quick thanks to the curator or curators of this forum. It's nice to know that I don't have to take great leaps & bounds just to get involved with people of the same hobby.

Cheers.

Howdy to you, I'm also new to this table-top stuff I've painted about two buildings and finished two battle hills, grass & paint done ..... From a Black Reach set, a deffkopta, dreadnought, the sarg & Space marine captian & a Dark angel. I just ordered my Space marine codex ..... So I can learn about these guys .... before I paint too many the wrong color ..... I'm working on a table for my hobby shop where we will do the battles. Can't wait to see one, so I can learn, anyway looking forward to seeing your army, as I'm doing the Space Marines also....... My friends, do the Caldian shock troops, Tau warriors. So the first fight should be a good one. As far as far as learning the rules .... that what I'm trying also .... Just that the only Rule book I have is out dated ...... Good luck in the war, I hope you are Victorious !!!

Some people like me don't get to get out to play that often so even if you're stopping to read the book every turn some people do not mind (at least I didn't). I got to try units I wouldn't normally try (Rough Riders!) and I gave him pointers like "I wouldn't shoot that If you plan on assualting" or "Dont forget the rear armor of my tank is 10". Anyway good luck with your army!

On steam if you play mount and blade my girl and I play on the GK siege server.

40k is as exciting as riding a pony, which doesn't sound very exciting.......

But the pony is 300 feet tall and covered in CHAINSAWS!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
