Hi Dakka,

Just a quick nod to my latest finished mini's:

First off Mantic's Mhorgoth the Faceless - which isn't a bad mini really. I like the more 'true scale' of Mantic's KoW range and Mhorgoth has a kind of evil, regal, super villain thing going on - maybe it's all the Bond films I've watched recently but he's sure to have some killer one-liners and arrogant or self pitying monologues in him:

The Chapter Master is an older paint job (maybe 6+ years now) and was created in a mad - "that'll be cool" moment, that nearly cost me a patch of skin on my leg. I remember I had to hold him as he was gluing (he was being a complete ) whilst having to hold my jeans leg up to stop the not insignificant amount of super glue from melding the jeans to my thigh, all the while trying not to breath in the fumes from the reaction. Aside from this I recall it only took a couple of hours, with some metal bending & greenstuff work.

The Ork heads are from the 4th Edition 'Xeno Hunter' rule - where IIRC you had to model all your minis with xeno bits in order to benefit from the rule (or else the majority of them). He looks a bit cluttered now for my liking but it's a conversion idea I may revisit one day (who knows?)

Anyway I was considering stripping him down and rebuilding him but in the end I just decided to touch him up a bit and find him a home that doesn't mind a bit of cheese on the tabletop.

Thanks for looking

I do not understand why people wouldn't enjoy seeing something like this on the table. It makes your army so much different to anybody else, and makes your armies seem much more dynamic and the battles more personal. I think this is a wicked kit bash with painting skills I can not match

That chapter master's stuff looks like something an ork would try. Perhaps those ork heads are getting to him.
