So I'm painting my table Graveyard Earth(or close to it from Home Depot) and I need to know what color to use as a general drybrush highlight.

I was thinking Dheneb Stone, but that might be too bright?

Thoughts?

Mix it with Graveyard Earth if it's too bright and tone it down.

Depends on what you are looking for. Snakebite leather can give it a dry ground nearly arid look.

I'm thinking of making the first board a dead grass/autumn theme. No red leaves, but no green grass. And no snow.

for my Skaven's basing I use a nice layer of sand pva'ed on, then Graveyard Earth (Steel Legion Drab) , drybrushed with Bleached Bone (Usabti Bone), and washed with Devlan Mud (Agrax Earthshade). And finally patches of GW's 'dead grass' static grass.

The rocks on my bases are painted using bestial brown (shadows), then graveyard earth (main color), and to finish bleached bones (highlights).
These colors work pretty well together.
