Greetings everyone,

I have had some success so far at lower points with the peices of this list but I wanted some feed back and opinions on the 1850 list, as well as how to expand to 2000.

HQ:
Ahriman

Troops:
Thousand Sons x 9, Rhino - Power sword melta bombs
Thousand Sons x 9, Rhino - Power Staff
Chaos Space Marines x 20 - melta x 2 - power fist gift of mutation - Mark of Khorne Icon of Fearless
Cultist squad x 10
Cultist Squad x 10

Heavy Support:
Forge Fiend x 2 - each with additonal ectoplasam cannon

Fast Attack
Heldrake - Baleflamer

List 2 for 1850 -----------------------------------------------------

Drop:
Heldrake

Add:
Havocs x 5 - 4 missle launchers with Flakk

May have to drop/add melta bombs/gift of mutation etc.

List 3 at 2000 ------------------------------------------------------------

Here is where I need help. What to add to either of the lists to get to 2000? I was thinking a predator or demolisher to add another threat and maybe take some heat of the rhinos at least for a turn or 2.

Any help would be great!

Battle Barge Impossible Fortress

Nice. Clearly this list is taking advantage of Master of Deception, and 20man CSM units.. Not a fan of the Cultists. Not because of their size, but because I personally haven't had them do anything but SURVIVE til the end of the game when it didnt matter.. Especially if Tsons sat on an objective next to them.

Yea the infiltrate will be used. I figure 20 fearless khorne marines at least get moved closer to the fight or good targets. If I get 3 the tsons will move too.

Any thoughts on if baleflamer Heldrake or havoks?

Also for 2000 pts I was thinking predator with las will be good.

Any thoughts?

I don't have experience with the new havocs but clearly they are the best costed heavy support we have.. I use 2 Helldrakes with Baleflamers and I haven't looked for any other support. I don't have problems with tanks.. I have problems killing monstrous creatures.

Predators are nice.. and cheaper than before. I prefer to take things in pairs instead of in singles.

Hm.. I'd be so bold as to suggest to the Internetz that at least one Heldrake is an auto-include. In your case (and mine) it's the closest we can get to a Firebird or whatever from the old Epic 40k Tzeentch stuff. They always have a place in our list.. but I recognize the usefulness Havocs can provide you.

Thanks for the tips. I would also like to take 2 preds but points are tight. I feel like the pred will add another vector an opponent has to worry about with A13 and las weapons should take some heat off my fiends/drake.

Drake looks real good have yet to play with one but with torrent that flamer is too nice.

Forgot to write that the CSM have close combat weapons so if all models can attack thats 60+ attacks.
