Im starting a fantasy army for introducing a friend of mine to the game and i need a hint of direction on what is a good next step for the orcs and goblins im banding together from the old battle for skull pass box (my dwarf army and im booting a orcs & goblin army for him to use) im looking to use 1000 pt lists for each side however im certain that i dont have enough greenskins to make 1000 pts of them

Get a box of savage orcs, while their not expensive points wise, when you play against them in decent numbers you'll be hard pushed to desbelieve they arent a deathstar

I don't play greenskins.
But most people usually adive night goblins with nets, since they appear to be very nasty.

If I remember correctly you should have 20 Night Goblins with Short Bows, 20 night Goblins with Spears and Shields, a night goblin Big boss, a Night Goblin Shaman, 5 spider riders and a Troll, which comes out to roughly 500 points.

I would recommend trying to get your hands on another set of the Night Goblins with Spears (roughly £10 on ebay) and a couple of netter models, this will be able to give you a BSB to use. From there try and get a hold of a Doom Diver, Rock Lobba and another set of Spider Riders should work out roughly at 1000 points

Spears suck, clip off their tips, add some greenstuff and you got a club. Do you want Orcs and Goblins? or just Goblins? I recommend a box of night goblins for some netters and more bodies. If you want to go with Orcs, savage orcs are boss 2-3 boxes of them is a good get, if goblins maybe some pump wagons, also I know my dwarfs hated it when I played my fiend's goblins and he would field max spear chukkas that would take down my warmachines from pure volume of how many goblins can field.

my dwarves consist of 12 warriors (command, 1 handed weapons and sheilds), a cannon, (3 extra crewmen laying around) 16 warriors (command, 1 handed weapons and sheilds), 10 thunderers (command), 8 miners (command), thane and slayer- this can all be kitted out to make 1000 pts
my orcs & gobbos consist of 20 night gobbos (command, spears), another 20 night gobbos (command, spears), 20 night goblin bowmen (command), 10 spider riders (command), a stone troll, a night goblin big boss, a night goblin shamen, and an orc boss on boar.

Im merely looking to build a greenskin horde that balences out my dwarves for maximum fun (on a side note ill post a planned dwarf list if anyone asks)
another side note- I plan on playing under previous edition rules due to easier access to a rulebook
