Subject: Debate: should Britian apologise for having invaded 90% of the world's countries?
It really depends on what you mean by Britain. Even so after 1066 England was only invaded by the Scots, French, Spaniards and the Dutch with only the latter being succesful.
The united kingdom has never been invaded (aside from a few French troops that fought in the Jacobite rebellion).
this list goes back to 200ad apparently, so vikings, Anglo-Saxons, ww2 germany etc
and I mean Britain as in England, Scotland and wales.

I'm not sure either, i think it's cos the first three are on the same island.

Well it's really not that far fetched I guess, seeing as the US is made up of a bunch of states and governed by one Government, and many countries are not much larger than the individual states.
thousands of years of history would stop that happening, just as a start most British people wouldn't agree to it.

if and when we reach mars or discover other species, we may unite against them though it's unlikely.

Look at the progress in the last 10 thousand years or so: We went from hunter gatherers, to warring city states, and now we have continent spanning governments that are quite effective (not to mention that we went from drawing pictures on cave walls to landing rovers on mars). Give us another few thousand years, who knows what we can accomplish. I've actually got quite a bit of confidence in Humanity.
As Darwin said,
"it is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the most responsive to change"
We happen to be good at all three of those things. We are strong, (or at least our tech makes us strong), we are intelligent (comparably lol), and we are quite responsive to change, even if it does often mean a war starts. War is something we will never completely eliminate, because conflict comes from such a basic, instinctual level. Otherwise, humanity FTW!
while I don't think it will happen without a extreme cause, I still it would be awesome if it did. Imagine the technology, art and literature we could all focus on if we weren't busy fighting over lines drawn on a map.

There already is a global government run by the UN, but it is a deep conspiracy and as such they -- our secret masters, I mean -- have cunningly allowed nation states to continue as a means of covering up the true state of affairs.
shush, don't let people know...
