Hey there! It's been a while since I last posted any miniatures for the outside world to see, but I thought now was the time to get something out there so that Dakka can judge me on my slightly weird taste for colours and heavily converted armies...
So, within the last month or so, I've kicked off three new armies, the first of which was a Cryx army for Warmachine. I have about 120pts altogether, which is enough for an absolutely massive game, but I'd love to have it painted first. So here are the first two 'Jacks I finished, a Reaper, and a Slayer, both of which have been used to great effect in practice games thus far....
Second, with the release of Dark Vengeance, I started up a Slaaneshi Chaos Space Marine army kicking off with the stuff from the boxed set. Here you can see the Lord, to whom I've added wings. I'm particularly proud of the freehand on the wings, which you can see in the second photo. I've gone with a slightly different colour scheme as would be the norm on these.
The final army I've started to work on is an army I've been developing background for for some time now, and includes a hapless bunch of Rebel Gretchin who fell in with a bad crowd in the form of a Rogue Inquisitor and caught the eye of the Ruinous Powers theirselves (themselves?) and became what can only be described as Chaos Grotz. I'll post up some fluff eventually, I have enough written out that I can finally release now that I've got round to actually converting something up...
Anyway, here's my Warboss, and only slightly serious model in the army. He's 10% Goblin, 35% Warboss, 15% Green Stuff and 40% Obliterator. Introducing Grotskull Throttla! He's still a WIP, hoping to finish and move on to another unit for each force this week.
Some C+C and maybe some image votes/comments would be useful, if you're that way inclined. But other than that, just some nice comments where possible, or advice on how to improve my technique would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
WaaaaghLord.

Very pretty! My Cryx looked so bad... There is just too much flat space personal painting style preference.

The Lord looks sic, i might have to steal the wings idea. Your free hand is indeed good imo on the wings.

Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss

I hate flat open spaces myself, I struggled with these myself haha. Thank you very much

Okay, update 2, lets go!
I finally finished my Warboss (I think, until I decide I don't like it...), and I'm pretty happy with it.-
And I've moved on to my second HQ, a Big Mek in Mega Armour. I'm kinda, in the middle of painting him but I quite like it too. I went for a "dark Mechanicus" look on him with the red hood, and I'm quite keen on that. I'm looking to do more looted Termi's in this style eventually.
Also, I've started another conversion project, in addition to the 3 armies I have on the go. More of a conversion project, as I've always wanted to do an Exodite Eldar army, so I picked up a box of Wood Elf Glade Guard and some SuriCats and went wild (literally). I finished this little lady last night:
And undercoated a second this morning:
Some feedback would be lovely, and I'm planning to get another update on the go in a few days. C+C and image votes/comments would be great too!
Thanks a lot,
Joe.

Whoa, I'm surprised very few people have said anything about this great work.
I love it. Those huge Ranger rifles look, oversized (just a little), but they may have been themed that way and i'm not complaining.
Great job!

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

They're kinda stylised that way, and I'm not sure they look quite so big irl, they look bigger on pictures :')
Going to post an update in a few days, I've had no internet connection for a few days but now I'm back, with a vengeance, and a full ranger squad and a farseer done...
