I decided to experiment with getting small numbers of Vostroyans along with my Catachan IG army. They do look cool, and the combined regiment fluff seems intriguing. I picked up a blister of Vostroyan Snipers that was dusting at my LGS, but the models have such sharp edges that I pricked two fingers while fitting them onto their bases. Any suggestions about how to avoid injuries while assembling Vostroyans? I'm thinking of filing the edges next time before assembly, but I'm not sure that would work.

Callouses for the fingers, maybe gloves?

Get use to the idea of bandages on your fingers I've got over 100 Vostroyans in my Guard army and their all stab happy.

Clip the edges and round them off. Or even just cut the foot tabs entirely off except for directly under the feet. Also, from experience, you may want to prime the models, then seal them, then prime them again because they chip a lot. By a lot, I mean a lot, like you paint them laying on a pillow, wearing rubber gloves, and they will still chip. So I would seal them after priming so you don't have to go back and fix chips while painting them before the final seal. Good luck with the Vostroyans! One of the cooler guard regiments. Maybe post some pics.

Gloves so strongly hamper my dexterity that I barely ever wear gloves in the Midwestern winter (!). But pre-bandaging may work, so I'll try that, thanks! I'll try clipping/sealing as well. Thanks for the ideas!

I hope I can make them good enough to post pictures. They look kinda hard to paint, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Just bleed on your models. A little blood adds that nice personal touch.

Ha, I did just that! Imagine how much money I could save on red paint I should start a BA army after this, with a house rule that tasting my blood gives them FC and CA right off the bat
