I think it's due to a change in the books included. It changed from including a mini-L&L to including a download PDF for Forged in Fire.

$20 according to the forum posts (and balance's post here). If I end up getting an ereader over the holidays, I might look into that. I agree that $60 for a softcover book (regardless of where its printing and whether its full color) is too much for my tastes. I'm hoping that they'll eventually come out with a B&W and possibly smaller format version but I'm not holding my breath as NuCoal hasn't gotten one in the year since its release.

Either way, it's good to see the line moving forward with new units/rules for the older armies. I suspect the north is next but that is pure conjecture on my part (I'm not part of the playtesting so it's purely a guess based on the south being first).
