Salamanders are such an awesome chapter. If i ever do a SM army (not including grey knights) it would be them for sure.
That said i cant comment too much but all the multi meltas and the Redeemer seems to fit nicely.
have you got this army already or building from scratch? I always thought Salamanders on bikes would be awesome. Attack bikes with multi meltas.
Ill probaly get flamed (excuse the pun!) but can bikes carry any sort of flamers?

The list is crap!

Just kidding.

How about some pods for those dreads? You might not have any at the moment, but a local Salamander gives me a hard time during games and it's a direct result of him always running dreads in Pods. : )

Oh and don't be afraid to take a Flamer on a Tactical Squad. 5th Edition favored melta of course, but flamers are duel purpose now plus they're free anyways!

Imho you should drop master of forge, drop sternguard, pick up pods for dreads, and pick up a third MM/HF speeder.

Usually I'm not in favor of units that are multi-purpose, but the Salamanders' speeders are just so freakin good that I make an exception whenever I play as them. Apart from that and podding the dreads, looks pretty solid.

What's the plan with the drop pod?

As much as I love sternguard, I'd drop them from your list. Or bump them up to 9/10 man squad in the rhino. I didn't have a whole lot of luck with just a half squad of them. If you do keep them, consider some HFs or combis. They gain a lot from Vulcan.

I'd like to see another troop pick. Even a 5 man sniper squad. I'd either get the footsloggers some longer range guns or a rhino.

Close range dreads (MM/HF types) should be in pods. If you are just going to walk across the table, get some longer range weapons.

I don't think the deathwind is worth the points.

I like a mix of claws and hammers. Makes the squad a little more flexible.

Nice speeders.

You've gone all-in with the salamander's weapons, but not enough mobility to get them into range fast enough. There is a reason you see a lot of full drop Vulcan lists. Drop pods let you get the flamers and melta in range first turn.

First of all id just like to say thx for the positive feedback.
Ok so on to the list. Im getting most of the stuff soon threw a trade hear on dakkadakka.
The forge master is in for 4 reasons. One he is going to.be in the landraider so he can repare it. Two he may not be Awome in CC but for 130pts he has 2 basic attacks that rerole to hit and two power fist attacks (mix that in with the forgefather and thw terms and thats a preatty hard nut to crack), 3, i can use him to boost cover for the tactical squad that doesnt have a rhino. And last but not least the 4th reason is that i LOVE the model.
The ironclad dread has a droppod was thinkning about putting in more but I do find it a cheep lowblow.
The sterngaurd i have no problem.getting rid of. They are in just for abit of filler. I was thinking about.putting a 3rd landspeed.
Landspeeders v.s bikes, bikes are cheeper and may live longer. But they can only have one Heavy weapon. And they have to take DTT. Landspeeders have better weapons and mobility. (and there cooler looking :p)
