Does a warmachine count as a unit for the whole your army has to have 3 units? My list currently is for high elves and has 1 unit of phoenix guard, 1 unit of seaguard, and a bolt thrower. If it counts thats cool, if not I will split the seaguard into 2 units.

That's what the unit size is for. If it's 1, that's a unit.
