Hi, am new to warhammer 40k

And I am looking at running two predators in my army, both with an auto cannon and lascannon sponsors.

Seeing as the autocannon is the default weapon, that comes in the box right?

But do the two lascannon sponsors come in the box or do I have to buy them seperately?

All information much appreciated - Thanks

The options for a lascannon turret and lascannon sponsons are included in the predator box.

Yes, the Predator kit includes both turret weapon options (TL Lascannon and Autocannon) and both sponson options (Lascannon and Heavy Bolter).

Check out the Games Workshop website and look at the units you are interested in buying, there is a paragraph or two written about what the kit includes as well as (sometimes) pictures of the sprues included in the box. Hope this helps!

Remember to not glue any of the weapons on! Magnets magnets magnets!!

I made the mistake of gluing the pred weapons when I was very new to the hobby and have always hated myself for it (the glue I used with ridiculous stuff too and I can't tear them off without destroying the model)

I had glued the sponsons too, but that's actually easy to fix. I just cut it right above the weapon's armor plating and put a magnet into the plating's slit. I trimmed the weapon support pole on the tank a bit, right to where it gets square. Drilled a hole and put the other magnet there.
I had shortened the pins on the turret weapons prior to asembly so I could swap them, but I think it should be possible to cut them with a scalpel throgh the small gap between weapon and turret. Then it's easy to magnetize it too.
3x1.5 mm round magnets work very well with the Predator.

As for the sponsons being glued, you can always get some replacements from online bitz stores... you'll just lose the ability of swapping between rhino/razorback/predator, but it does cut down on the overall glue-induced loss.

From the GW site:
"This 94-piece kit includes components to make all of the weapon options available in Codex: Space Marines, including:
a twin-linked lascannon,
an autocannon,
a pair of lascannon sponsons,
a pair of heavy bolter sponsons"

Build the Rhino, and leave the top hatch and side doors off.
Magnetise the side doors (I fiitted a small magnet to two opposite corners) and leave the top hatch loose.
That way, you can use it as a Rhino, Razorback (with turret), Predator, etc.
Also, a magnet under the top hull can take a spotlight or smoke launcher, as needed. The same with the dozor blade.

"3x1.5 mm round magnets work very well with the Predator."
That's the size I usuallly use, too.
