Hi, I am new to warhammer 40k but have decided to play Blood Angels.

I need some help on my two seargents weaponary (preferably the same on both)

This list isn't finalised but pretty close:

250 Mephiston

210 Assault Squad (2x Meltagun)
210 Assault Squad (2x Meltagun)

135 Predator (Autocannon, Lascannon sponsors)
135 Predator (Autocannon, Lascannon sponsors)

940 Total

I have 60 points left over and I'd like have a better weapon/s on the seargent (plus they are basically the only thing left to upgrade)

My local club isn't very competitive, thats why I have mephiston etc in a low point army (I just like the model and character)

I would like some suggestions on the most useful weaponary to equip the seargent with. (in effect 30 points each)

Also if there are any suggestions on different weaponary on the predators to fit in more/less on the seargent thats great also (I'd like it to equal exactly 1000 points)

The assault squads and mephiston are basically "set in stone" so only suggestions on the seargents and predators would be great.

Suggestions much appreciated - Thanks

powerfists on sergeants all the way.

As for the predators, they look nice, have you tried Baal?

i wouldn't take a character in a 1000 point list. While he can be great opponents will just avoid him and take concentrate on a smaller squad. i would take a librarian with jump pack for 125 and some scouts with a sniper rifles/missile launcher for 85. leaves you a few points for a power weapon. I would not combat squad the assault squads either. i would use the scouts to hold rear objectives and the assault squads to move into forward objectives.

maybe do one seargent with a power fist and one with a power axe. not sure how much av13 you will see at 1000pts. Remember if you play a none MEQ army you can get swarmed with horded that you might not have the man power to fight. you get a lot of orks at 1000 pts.

another thing to think about for something fun is a very mobile drop pod army at 1000 pts. i know when i play my BA my friend is always worried about where my drop pods are coming in. It freaks his IG out not know where i will strike and he tends to deploy all over the board. Personally nothing is more "fluffy" then BA just dropping out of the sky.

Nonbeing, that is to say, everything.

I replied to the other one... and I dont agree with PFs, they can be good but in a melta squad just a PW is fine. Try to fit a priest.

I still dont like mephy.

I'd squeeze in a priest for sure. Baal predators with HB sponsors are nice. BA lack fire power and the Baal preds are bringing 10 shots each. You can also use them for some mobile cover. Just hide your assault marines behind them. Make sure Mephiston is hidden behind your assault squads so he doesn't get shot with ap2 weapons.

I don't know why steve2112 told you not to combat squads your RAS. This is a situational matter. If you're playing an opponent with a lot of armor it can be great to DOA a 5 man combat squad packing 2 melta's.

Storm ravens are awesome too, but if you don't have one it's not a big deal.

As far as your Sgt load out goes PW's are always a good option. I run two RAS squads and a priest. I give one Sgt a lightning claw and the other one only gets melta bombs. I attach the priest to the squad with the "naked" Sgt. Priest gets power axe which equates to 4 ws5 str6 ap2 attacks on the charge! I use the naked sgt to accept challenges if they're issued. This way my Priest is still swinging and if my sgt loses the challenge it's all right as not many points were invested in him.

Elites: 90pts
Sanguinary Priest: Jump Pack/power sword

10x Assault Marines: PF, 2meltas
10x Assault Marines : PF, 2meltas

Fast Attack:145
