Do they get to take the 4+/2++ save?

Depends which side of the wall the barrage lands on.
You determine cover from the centre of the barrage.

Where's the 2++ coming from?

If barrage hits the squad behind the line, with the center of the hole on their side. They're not getting cover from it.

2++ would come from going to ground behind the Aegis. +2 to cover saves.

Just got a lil confused generally the ++ would indicate an invul save.
