Subject: What / which Tactics sites do you visit? (if any)

Just wondering what sites you guys and gals visit for viewing tactics and analysis of trends / progression.
I found myself recently watching "Way of Saim-Hann" on youtube - no idea why.
Some of his ideas are ok but overall I wasnt impressed (sorry if hes on here! - just my feeling).
Another one was EldarCorsair via youtube, lacking a bit imho, some tactics were obviously 5th and not updated. Others simply contradicted one another.
None of the above is meant as a sleight by the way, just some examples to spark ideas / interest.
Any really good sites you like / use / recommend? If so, what do you see as their weaknesses / strenghts / flaws?
Do you look up tactic sites at all, or just play?
I'll caveat the above with the fact, I think dakka has a great collection of "tactical" players but we must remember its a small fish in a huge pool of players that might not visit here so "outside" ideas are always welcome.
I recall Dashofpepper (and I did not agree with him on many, many levels) but he did introduce a new "style" of playing to certain people ( and the flame wars that followed!).
Anywas.....

I visit dakka, and that's it.
There are a lot of 40k pundits who think that 40k is WAY, WAY more of a tactical exercise than it really is. They take it way too seriously and often come up with weird ideas that are often not even good. Worse, it's easy when you're not in a forum environment to get a case of podium-itis, eventually believing that you're preaching truth, rather than trying to hash out ideas.
Like many things in life, it turns out that all of us aren't as dumb as any single one of us. Why not other forums, though? I used to post at 40konline and warseer, but found them to be awful. At least on dakka you get people who are able to at least occasionally think abstractly and are just as likely to actually listen to what you have to say rather than to just shout over you.

Going to play devils advocate though Ailaros and state once again (however right or wrong - run with it), that dakka is a small group of players in a huge pond.
Fully agree with your view of podium-itis, seen it all over to be honest.
However, if we are to be very objective (and Im sure you've viewed the battrep forum as much as I over the last few years) dakka does have a certain % of players that pop up regularly - Mercer/yourself/JY2/Reese/Gitta etc.
Whilst great reps and analysis ensue, one cannot "lock" oneself off from other ideas.
Specific and parochial E.G. I used to be on an old Irish 40k forum back when 3rd(?) was out and it had some great little tips and tricks, when I was posting regularly on (what was the old Warseer called? - bah cant recall!).
My point is, I dunno, dont lock oneself down to dakka, there is some horrible crap out there but good also.
And even if we read the crap we can report it here and break it down / analyse it / deconstruct it / embrace it?
Man, did that make any sense!?

Shameless bump - mods, perhaps could you move this to the batrep forum?
Im genuinely interested in where/how people formulate their lists tactics (outside of dakka perhaps).

Hrm, yesthetruthhurts isn't bad. Sure, Stelek tends to be slightly acerbic but the advice found there tends to be solid.
3plusplus is another good one.

There's Advancedtautactica, but thats mostly fluffier than actually handi.
You might take a look at other strategy games for ideas. For instance, the idea of a fork and a skewer from chess works decently well if your playing a shooty army. Likewise, rank control of rooks is handy in the same way.
Take a look at basic go and chess strategy if you're super curious, otherwise play is the best bet.

I look at Airilos' site and that's about it. All the other guard sites I've looked at seems incredibly self-important and frankly too nerdy. Paradoxically they're also a lot less informative.
I wouldn't trust the average blogger/whatever since they mainly just reproduce whatever's popular rather than taking an objective eye to their own experience (and applying mathammer as nessesary).
