I am having trouble coming up with a list that has a chance against a 6-flyer Necron list when we play a last-man standing 4-player free-for-all. His army can hide from the rest of us until we beat up on one another and then he comes in and mops up whatever is left.

What army do you play? Guard can get lots of barrage weapons, so they can't hide. Marines get drop pods, again, no hiding.

Flyerspam of your own, preferably IG with lots of Vendettas and/or punisher cannon Vultures. Let the other two losers kill each other, while you focus on shooting down the Necrons while his STR 7 guns aren't very effective against AV 12.

(The inevitable conclusion of course is that all four of you will bring flyerspam lists, and eventually give up when you can't tell who owns which Necron flyer.)

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

If it wasn't a four-way game, I'd tell you to just bring lots and lots of dakka.

Since it is a four-way game, an air force list is at a distinct advantage. He can hold the bulk of his force in reserve while you kill each other and then kill you in whatever order he wishes. Of course, this also has a downside in that he's going to have to sit through several player turns of not having many boots on the ground. There shouldn't be any way he can hide his foot forces from all three of you.

Also, a foot horde is a good option against most flyer-heavy lists. In the specific case of Necrons, he's much more likely to send his Doom Scythes where they can do the most good (sniping vehicles) and ignore your troops while you whittle him down with shooting. Lootas are fantastic foot AA, consider an allied detachment of Orks.

Necron is hard to beat in a last model standing game as all the foot sloggers have a chance to get back up.
